Product DescriptionAfter learning to read and write Grade 1 Braille, the next step is to familiarize yourself with the numerous short forms that make Grade 2 Braille so much faster to read. Since the vast majority of Braille readers read books printed in Grade 2 Braille, the sooner you can begin reading it yourself, the better. And there's no better way to commit the various contractions to memory than by using our nifty Grade 2 Braille Contractions Booklet. This portable Braille book begins by refreshing your memory on which dots make up each letter of the alphabet, and then goes on to list every single contraction, word sign, short form word, and punctuation mark that makes Braille so interesting. Plus, the entire list is alphabetized, so when you forget what a symbol stands for (it's bound to happen now and then, right?), it'll take you less than a minute to refresh your memory.Ask a Question About this Product(From the ABC's of Braille shelf.)Related Products: Unified English Braille Flash Cards Practice Contractions with this Big Box of Cards Item Number: 1257 $19.95 Tell Me More

In second grade, your child is developing new skills and understanding of the world around them. You will notice that they may be more detail orientated and able to work more independently this year. Your child may be more interested in the relationships that exist within nature and within their own community. You will continue on the educational journey this year by sharpening the skills they will need for writing, reading, math computations, and purposeful involvement in a broader range of activities. Second graders are full of energy and wonder, and they have a desire to be a valuable part of their family and community.
Our main lesson books come spiral bound in six bright colors (red, orange, green, yellow, blue, and purple). The MLB format is central to the elementary curriculum and the main expression of learning for K-4 Oak Meadow students. Include in grade level craft kits.
In fact, we have books that feed into the curiosity that develops in children at this age and help them understand every aspect of life in a more illustrative, detailed and entertaining way. Books that engage them more towards learning more aspects about the world we live in.
This age group has a wide range of reading abilities, from those just beginning to read independently, to those who can read Harry Potter. However, most of the books in this collection are classified as chapter books. As a family read-aloud, these books would be ideal for newly independent readers as well as older children.

I am fortunate enough to be able to put together a purchase order for our district. I know each student is quite different, I am curious to know about how many books a student may need to progress through various levels. I am not sure how many to request. We currently use Fundations as our phonics scope & sequence. This follows a fairly typical progression. Any suggestions?? 2ff7e9595c
